Albufeira Marina was once again awarded the Blue Flag. The Blue Flag is an environmental award given annually to marinas and beaches that pay special attention to good management of facilities and services with regard to the environment and nature and that provide environmental information to their users.
To be eligible for the award, this marina had to meet a set of criteria related to education, information and environmental management, safety and services and water quality.
The Blue Flag campaign is an international campaign, developed to protect the environment and in particular the marine and river environment in marinas and beaches.
The Blue Flag Campaign is managed by a non-profit organization, the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), which in Portugal is represented by the Blue Flag Association of Europe.
By following the Vessel Conduct criteria, you can become a member of the Blue Flag Campaign and thus contribute to cleaner oceans and rivers.
By raising the Blue Flag on your vessel, you demonstrate your adherence to the purposes of FEE.
